We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Process Engineer with specialized expertise in coating technologies for gas turbine components. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in aluminum‑platinum deposition and diffusion processes, as well as in the application of thermal barrier coatings (TBCs) using HVOF (High Velocity Oxy‑Fuel) and APS (Atmospheric Plasma Spray) technologies. This role is key to ensuring coating quality, process stability, and continuous improvement in high‑performance turbine environments.
Responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities
Coating Process Engineering:
- Develop, optimize, and standardize coating processes including aluminum‑platinum deposition, diffusion heat treatment.
- Define and control process parameters to ensure coating quality, adhesion, thickness uniformity, and compliance with specifications.
- Prepare and maintain detailed process documentation (e.g., work instructions, control plans, technical specifications).
Thermal Spray Operations (HVOF & APS):
- Manage setup and operation of HVOF and APS coating systems.
- Monitor and troubleshoot spray parameters, equipment performance, and powder feed systems to maintain process integrity.
- Ensure safety compliance and equipment calibration in accordance with industry standards.
Quality & Metallurgical Support:
- Work closely with the quality and materials engineering teams to analyze coating defects, microstructures, and process‑related anomalies.
- Coordinate root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
New Process Introduction & Continuous Improvement:
- Lead the industrialization of new coating technologies or upgrades, from development to full‑scale production.
- Drive process improvements in terms of cycle time, yield, repeatability, and environmental compliance.
- Collaborate with R&D;, design engineering, and external suppliers as needed.
- Master’s degree in Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, o
