Job Description The Controls Lead Engineer manages all engineering activities of a project related to Controls Hardware and Software in order to ensure that relevant deliverables are in time, scope, quality and budget and adhere to established standards. The Controls Lead Engineer estimates and manages controls engineering-related project risks, owns the related planning and scheduling, and acts as the point of contact for controls engineering. The Controls Lead Engineer functionally reports to the Project Manager in the respective projects or, if appointed, to a Project Lead Engineer. In addition, the role will be involved in the full cycle of the project from sales through engineering up to hand over. Act as main Controls Engineering point of contact for Project Manager, Site manager, Procurement, Manufacturing, as well as client architect, builder, and design consultants. Lead project Controls Engineering teams through task allocation and reporting. Create and update Controls Engineering project status reports, financial forecasts and schedule updates (resource updates); ensuring Controls Engineering cost control. Document, escalates, and manages Controls Engineering project risks (also preparation of Project Status Report / Project Variation Request).
