What You'll Do As an SRE Specialist with a focus on development, you will act as a strategic partner and quality gatekeeper for our software development teams. Your responsibilities include:
Reliability Governance: Define, track, and enforce Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and Error Budgets across development teams.
Architectural Review: Partner with software architects during the design phase to ensure new features comply with reliability, scalability, and security standards.
Development Quality Gates: Define and enforce quality gates within the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring no software is deployed to production without meeting reliability criteria.
Incident & Problem Management: Oversee the post‐mortem process, ensuring development teams prioritize bug fixes and architectural changes identified during incidents.
Chaos Engineering & Testing: Design chaos engineering scenarios and game days to validate system resilience, guiding developers on how to improve their code.
Toil Reduction Strategy:



Analyze development workflows to identify systemic inefficiencies and guide teams on how to automate operations.
Requirements 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering, SRE, or Technical Product Management with a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
Solid understanding of distributed systems architecture, microservices, and cloud‐native patterns (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Strong expertise in establishing SLOs/SLIs, error budget policies, and continuous improvement frameworks.
Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and tracing concepts (e.g., Prometheus, Datadog, OpenTelemetry).
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence engineering practices and mentor developers without direct authority.
Nice to have: experience implementing ITIL, Agile, or DevOps practices at scale; certification in Cloud Architecture or Agile Project Management; prior experience as a Tech Lead or Engineering Manager.
