About the role GEA is a leading supplier for the food and beverage processing industry, with 18,000 employees worldwide. This position is an Operational Procurement Specialist responsible for managing purchase orders, supplier relations, and project sourcing activities.
Responsibilities Process purchase orders and follow the expediting process
Clarify issues with suppliers
Communicate with suppliers regarding demand, volume and delivery times, reduction of transaction cost, etc.
Execute purchasing processes following guiding principles from category management
Support Finance with invoice verification
Follow processes, guidelines and procurement policies
Ensure cost, availability, innovation, and quality within the sourcing plan creation and execution
Manage price lists
Coordinate, manage and control material shipments
Manage suppliers to fulfill on‐time delivery KPI
Analyze and proactively use Materials Requirements Program (MRP) and other systems to determine raw materials/items needs for production/spare parts
Implement AI across procurement processes
Focus on new projects




Work closely with R&D;, Strategic Buyers, Operational Buyer and Quality Department
Manage RFQs and award decisions in line with category strategy
Execute supplier selection along strategy, requirements, supplier base development, and identification of new suppliers
Monitor and communicate planning of procurement activities related to projects
Commit to meeting project cost targets
Bill of Material costing
Responsible for project sourcing activities
Operate sourcing to support production and/or service
Run scouting process in line with project target and according to Strategic Buyers strategies
Process purchase requisitions, purchase orders and follow up on order confirmations (with expediting if needed)
Clarify issues with requestors and suppliers
Provide feedback to Strategic buyer/Category manager when spotting requisitions going outside of suitable framework agreements
Act as first point of c
