Experteer Overview As a Modeling System Thermal Engineer at Vertiv in Piove di Sacco, you will develop physics-based thermal models for HVAC components and multi-circuit systems. You'll work with a global team to simulate thermodynamic behavior of Vertiv's products, driving accurate, efficient modeling and supporting application and offering teams. You'll implement algorithms and document modeling analyses, leveraging specialized tools to solve complex thermal problems. This role combines hands‐on modeling with collaboration across disciplines to advance cooling solutions at scale.
Retribuzione / Benefits Develop accurate, high-performance math models for HVAC components (evaporators, condensers, compressors, fans, pumps)
Design and implement efficient algorithms for single- and multi-circuit HVAC systems (chilled-water CRAC, air/ water-cooled configurations)
Apply advanced numerical methods to solve complex multi-circuit schemes with high efficiency
Prepare technical documentation on thermal modeling and analysis
Utilize programming tools for modeling tasks (Cadence, FlowNex, MATLAB/Simulink, FloMaster, Simscale)
Responsabilità Master in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or related with focus on thermodynamics
Solid understanding of single-phase and two-phase fluid dynamics, refrigerant mechanics, heat transfer
Familiarity with numerical methods for refrigerant and hydronic circuits
Knowledge of HVAC system operation, component balancing, and system integration
1 or 2+ years in thermal engineering preferred; motivated new grads welcome
Proficiency in object-oriented software and willingness to learn coding on the job
Practical knowledge of CFD software (1D/2D)
Excellent English communication; Italian fluency desirable; relocation near Padova site or willingness to relocate
