Job Summary
Lead Mechanical Field Service Engineer – Centrifugal Compressors at Baker Hughes IET. The role is the first point of contact for global customers on‑site, responsible for leading activities, people and HSE compliance to a high standard, while continuously developing product knowledge and technical skills in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical direction for site activities to internal teams and skilled labor to ensure safety, compliance, and quality.
- Oversee, overhaul, troubleshoot, and commission Centrifugal Compressor products at customer sites.
- Lead customer and contractor meetings to share and update action plans and advise on technical solutions.
- Ensure internal training, compliance and quality documentation is updated, followed, and completed according to company standards.

Qualifications
- Technical Diploma.
- Ready to travel significantly (up to 70%) without geographical restriction, including offshore facilities.
- Relevant working knowledge of installation and maintenance of rotating equipment.




- Experience working in a mechanical role in an energy or oil and gas environment (or similar).
- Customer service orientation and experience leading customers through tough decisions.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information to customers and teams with varying levels of technical understanding.
- Deep awareness of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance and potential risks.
- Motivated self‑starter, able to make key decisions and innovate solutions.
- Excellent command and understanding of verbal and written English.
- EU passport or European work permit.

Pay
The initial pay range for this position is EUR 41,600 to 57,200. The provisions of the Contratto Collettivo Ind
