Our work gives customers the confidence and "license to operate" in some of the world's most demanding environments. With a strong and growing team primarily based in Oslo, and access to our accredited test facility – we're seeking a HAZLOC (Ex) Engineer to join our growing team of specialists.
What You'll Do
Join our HAZLOC (Ex) team and play a vital role in shaping the safety and reliability of equipment used in hazardous environments worldwide. You'll work with globally recognized certification schemes such as ATEX, IECEx, UKEX, INMETRO,



and IEC/EN/ISO standards – contributing directly to safer industries and a more sustainable future.
In This Role, You Will
Lead type and design examinations of equipment used in explosive (Ex) environments
Carry out in-depth technical assessments and documentation reviews to ensure compliance
Perform and support testing activities in our state‐of‐the‐art accredited test facility
Travel to customer sites to witness tests and conduct audits at manufacturing facilities
Act as a trusted technical partner, supporting both customers and colleagues across DNV
Contribute to continuous improvement by helping build smarter, more efficient processes
Deliver high-quality outcomes with a strong focus on customer experience and timely execution
