Job Title: Process Technician Department: Set-Up
Reports To: Production Supervisor
Travel: 0%
Must be able to work 4:30PM to 3:00AM Monday - Thursday
Job Summary The Process Technician role is responsible for setting up and maintaining production equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations. Must follow Altor Solutions’ standards for Safety, Quality, and Production.
Develop the molding process for each tool to run optimum cycle times while producing high quality products that meet the standards of the customer.
Improve Quality of Products molded through improvements to the molding process
Work with Operations and Engineering to make specific recommendations on details of NEW tooling construction including but not limited to filling device and ejector type and location. Partner with Operations and Engineering to recommend modifications to tools to improve the molding process
Assist the operators with packaging concerns




Set up and maintain production equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations
Perform routine maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance Responsible for following plant specified job specification, task list and completion of all requirement paperwork.
Education Requirement/Work Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3-6 months of relevant manufacturing experience and/or training; Prior work experience in mold changing with knowledge of the EPS molding process required
Must be able to read gauges, paperwork, and other visuals associated with the process. Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including hearing protection, safety glasses and steel/composite toe shoes, and gloves. The work environment is typical of most manufacturing environments with proximity to other production associates, materials, and machinery.
