Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Renewable Energy
Rome, Italy (preferred location)
A privately backed IPP operating in the renewable energy and storage sector is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join its leadership team in Italy. The business is supported by long‐term, ESG‐focused institutional capital and is at an exciting stage of growth, with an active pipeline of renewable and storage projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead financial strategy, governance, and reporting
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash management
- Support project finance, funding structures, and investor engagement
- Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and shareholders
- Build and lead the finance function as the platform scales

Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in similar roles




- Senior finance leadership experience (CFO / Finance Director level)
- Background in renewables, energy, infrastructure
- Strong exposure to project finance and investment‐led environments
- Strategic, hands‐on, and comfortable in growth‐phase platforms
- Based in Italy or open to relocation (Rome preferred)
