Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo – and potentially humans in the longer run. We need an experienced MAIT Mechanisms and MGSE CAD Engineer to help ensure that NYX mechanisms are successfully assembled and tested. Key Responsibilities Prepare, execute, and manage the mechanical integration and tests of our space subsystems. Support test activities in TEC facilities or partner facilities for specific tests. Design the required mechanical and electro‐mechanical MGSEs for our spacecraft mechanisms. Conduct calculations and stress analysis to demonstrate good safety margins for the MGSEs. Deliver detailed design of the MGSEs – 3 D models and 2 D manufacturing drawings for all parts. Manage procurement of MGSEs in collaboration with the supply‐chain team. Oversee assembly, integration, and commissioning of MGSEs. Write assembly, integration, and testing procedures for MGSEs, mechanisms, and related tests.



Participate in and support execution of mechanical operations in the Mechanisms Laboratory. Resolve anomalies during AIT phases, especially involving MGSEs. Prepare reports at the end of operations/tests. Provide feedback on blockages or problems during AIT and propose improvements and fixes. Qualifications and Experience Engineering degree (Master or Ph D) in mechanical engineering or equivalent. Experience with mechanical AIT – preparation, execution, management, and reporting. Experience designing MGSEs, tooling, and test set‐ups. Proficiency in a 3 D CAD tool (e.g., Siemens NX). Basic understanding of mechanical structural analysis. Experience in the AIT of aerospace vehicles is a plus. Organised, rigorous, hands‐on, and inventive problem‐solver. Team spirit and strong communication skills at all business levels.
