Job Description Summary As Accessories & Controls Lead Buyer, within the Avio Aero's Supply Chain team and directly reporting to the Commodity Manager, you will manage the buying process for a given set of goods. You will apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets. In this role, you will have knowledge of best practices and how your area integrates with others, and you will be aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market. Essential Responsibilities Manage the sourcing process from evaluation of requestor's requirements to purchase order placement. Understand the Accessories & Controls Commodity needs based on the Commodity Strategy and define a Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) matrix in collaboration with the Strategic Sourcing team and Casting Technical Expert. Support the strategy and robustness definition and execution for the specific set of goods within the Accessories & Controls Commodity, referencing the Operational Plan and Strategy goals (including deflation, costout,
days to pay). Apply cost and price analysis techniques, using expertise from supporting organizations. Negotiate purchase orders and contracts, following applicable company and government regulations. Balance tactical execution with strategic initiatives necessary to drive cost reduction projects. Work collaboratively with Supplier Quality Teams and Procurement to meet established goals of OTD, span, delinquency, and vendor recovery. Maintain the highest level of integrity and ethics in all dealings with the supply base and internal customers. Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college. Previous proven experience in Quality, Engineering, Program Management, or Sourcing. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously, prioritize, and resolve issues appropriately. P
