Dematic is looking for a talented Solution Development Engineer to join its Customer Service team on a permanent contract at its premises in Cernusco Sul Naviglio (Milan).The successful candidate will play a key role in developing service and modernization solutions for automated intralogistics systems, supporting customers throughout the lifecycle of their installations. Working closely with customers, sales teams, project managers and engineering departments, the Solution Development Engineer will translate customer requirements into technically sound and commercially competitive solutions that improve system performance, reliability and operational efficiency. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills. Key Responsibilities Develop technical solutions for modernization, retrofit,
expansion and lifecycle management projects related to automated material handling and intralogistics systems. Analyze customer requirements and define solution concepts in cooperation with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts. Prepare technical and commercial proposals, including scope definition, budget estimation and project planning. Support Customer Service and Sales teams in identifying and developing business opportunities. Coordinate cross-functional activities involving mechanical, electrical, controls, software, installation and project management teams. Support the preparation of technical documentation, layouts and proposal material. Contribute to project execution planning, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and internal milestones.
