Role Overview
Newronika is seeking a Senior Clinical Scientist to lead the scientific evaluation of new clinical applications for our adaptive Deep Brain Stimulation (aDBS) platform beyond Parkinson's disease. This is a high-leverage individual contributor role for a Ph.D.-trained neuroscientist (or candidate with equivalent education and applied research experience) who can move fluently between primary literature, clinical reasoning, and product strategy. The successful candidate will form and pressure-test hypotheses about device efficacy in new indications, build the scientific foundation for future clinical development, and serve as an internal scientific resource across cross-functional teams.
You will work closely with Newronika leadership in Milan,



engage with external KOLs and academic collaborators across the global DBS and neuromodulation community, and support Clinical Affairs, Medical Affairs, R&D;, Regulatory, and Commercial in assessing the clinical rationale, evidence base, development feasibility, and strategic relevance of potential new indications.
Key Responsibilities
· Synthesize the global neuroscience literature, congress proceedings, ongoing trials, and competitive landscape across DBS, aDBS, BCI, pharmaceutical advancements, and broader neuromodulation.
· Conduct targeted literature reviews to identify candidate neural biomarkers (e.g., LFP, EEG, neurochemical, behavioral) for new indications, evaluating their feasibility as targets for closed-loop adaptive stimulation.
