Position: Software Developer (.NET / VB6)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Software Developer with strong expertise in Visual Basic 6 (VB6), .NET, and Microsoft SQL Server to support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have experience working on legacy VB6 applications as well as modern .NET technologies, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Mandatory Skills
Strong experience in Visual Basic 6 (VB6)
Proficiency in .NET Framework / .NET
Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server
Experience in application development, maintenance, debugging, and performance optimization
Good understanding of database design, SQL queries, stored procedures, and data management
Desired Skills
Project Management experience
Team handling and mentoring capabilities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using VB6 and .NET technologies.
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues while ensuring system stability and performance.
Design, develop, and optimize SQL Server databases, queries, and stored procedures.
Participate in requirement analysis, technical design, coding, testing, and deployment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Support migration and modernization initiatives from legacy VB6 applications to .NET where applicable.
Mentor junior team members and contribute to technical knowledge sharing.
Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery and adherence to quality standards.
