Experteer Overview As an Embedded Linux Engineer, you design and optimize embedded software for hardware platforms. You will collaborate with hardware and software teams to bring up boards, develop BSPs, and ensure efficient, power-conscious systems. You will tackle kernel, driver, and user-space components, driving robust integration and performance.
This role offers hands‐on hardware collaboration and impact on product readiness and reliability.
Retribuzione / Benefits Design, develop, and optimize kernel modules, drivers, and user‐space applications for embedded Linux devices
Develop and maintain Board Support Packages (BSPs) for new and existing hardware platforms, including bootloaders, kernel configuration, device tree, and filesystem integration
Collaborate with hardware engineers to bring up new boards and debug hardware‐software interactions
Analyze and optimize system performance, memory usage, and power consumption of embedded Linux devices
Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to the embedded Linux OS, drivers, and applications
Work with cross‐functional teams (hardware, software, QA, product management) to define requirements and deliver high‐quality products
Responsabilità Bachelor in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or higher)
2+ years software engineering or related experience (or 1+ year with a Master)
2+ years of programming with C, C++, Java, or Python
Experience with embedded Linux distributions and build systems (Yocto Project)
Ability to read hardware schematics and datasheets
Experience with Golang and/or Python
