We are looking for a Digital Service Engineer – Homogenizers based in Parma. In this role, you will leverage your industrial expertise to monitor and analyze machine behavior, support customers remotely, and actively contribute to the evolution of our digital service offerings.
You will work with the GEA BU Homogenizers team, a leading global provider of industrial homogenization technology, supporting customers across food, dairy, pharma and chemicals.
Responsibilities Ensure reliable operation of connected homogenizers through proactive monitoring and performance optimization.
Analyze critical incidents and identify root causes to improve machine reliability.
Translate machine and process expertise into scalable digital solutions (monitoring concepts, diagnostic logic, data‐driven features).
Contribute to digital product improvement through data‐driven insights.
Collaborate with service engineers, product teams, and data specialists.
Develop best practices (troubleshooting, diagnostics, knowledge base) to scale expertise.




Support internal teams and customers in using digital tools for proactive maintenance.
Qualifications Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar.
Several years of hands‐on experience in industrial service, commissioning, troubleshooting, or maintenance of complex machinery.
Strong understanding of machine behavior, failure modes, and customer operations in industrial environments, with the ability to analyze technical issues holistically and identify root causes.
Experience interpreting machine data, operational parameters, and system behavior, along with ability to read mechanical and electrical documentation and drawings.
Experience with high‐pressure process equipment such as homogenizers is a strong advantage.
Affinity for digital tools, data analysis and remote service environments, with willingness to learn monitoring platforms and data‐driven diagnostics.
