Because power is nothing without our people In 2022, Pirelli opened the Pirelli Digital Solutions Center in Bari, the first development centre entirely focused on digital innovation, born with the goal of enriching internal skills in the most strategic areas for Pirelli. The Digital Center employees are involved in the development of software and algorithms destined for the most advanced processes of planning, manufacturing, and marketing of the group's tyres throughout the world. The key projects include strengthening the Big Data platform for collection,



transformation and analysis of all the data from the company's ecosystems, enabling algorithms that accelerate product development times, improve quality, maximize machine efficiency, optimize commercial effectiveness, and create new digital services. The new algorithms support all company and factory functions, enabling studies directly on the tyre's "Digital Twin". Through Industrial IoT, supply chain is optimised via predictive demand modelling, maintenance of machinery predicted, and energy consumption reduced.
