Job Summary Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace company, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for the Military Design Engineering team to focus on engine components manufactured through additive technologies such as DMLM, including heat exchangers and structural parts. The role involves design, certification, and production support activities, with end‐to‐end responsibility for the component, including design validation, testing, certification, and entry into service. Essential Responsibilities * Capture system requirements and flow‐down to component definition, identifying relevant validation needs. * Issue technical documents relative to the component's design according to engineering policies and procedures (drawings, presentations, analysis reports). * Contribute and participate as a presenter in technical and program reviews. * Develop components and modules to meet cost, performance, and life objectives. * Proactively support and coordinate activities with manufacturing departments and suppliers to implement product improvements (e.g., concurrent design, cost‐out activities).



* Drive the design phase toward component certification, including the submission of certification reports. * Support source technological substantiation and non‐conformance assessment. * Support activities related to development findings, component performance, and investigations (test requests, test data post‐process, laboratory investigation). Qualifications / Requirements * Master's Degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering. * Fundamental understanding of mechanical design (static, strength of materials, dynamics, etc.). * Basic knowledge of additive component design, preferably using DMLM technology. * Basic knowledge of component certification requirements, e.g., FAA CFR 14 part 33.91. * Good interpersonal and communication skills. * Team‐working and inclusiveness proven capabilities. * Clear thinking, diligent approach, result‐oriented, standard work approach and oriented to continuou
