Mechanical Engineering Technician Top Country Roma Pty Ltd, Roma, Western QLD, Australia Full-time | $76,000 - $80,000 per year. Your Role There is a position vacant for an experienced Mechanical Engineering Technician at Top Country, Roma Q. This role is responsible for assisting to operate a feed mill and providing mechanical support to maintain plant, machinery and equipment in good working condition. Responsibilities * Work with a team to operate the mill * Carry out routine maintenance tasks to ensure maximum production output * Install current and modified mechanical assemblies and components * Manage and oversee the inspection and maintenance of mill machinery, equipment and vehicles * Verify that machines and completed work adhere to specifications, regulations and contractual requirements. * Recommend improvements in processes, design and operations based on site observations and feedback. * Ensure all operations are performed safely and in accordance with company workplace health and safety requirements.



About You * A minimum of a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is required. A bachelor degree is a plus. * At least 5 years of relevant work experience in the field * Knowledge of engineering principles that demonstrate experience in effective diagnostic and solutions-focused outcomes * Experience in maintenance and repair of heavy equipment * Specific experience in maintenance and repair of milling equipment is essential * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal * Strong understanding of workplace, health and safety in a Manufacturing environment * Have extensive experience with computer systems * Proficiency in basic office software is required for computer systems operation * Ensure safety and cleanliness * Candidates must have valid work eligibility in Australia to be considered for this position.
