Project Manager – Data Center

Location: Milan or Rome, Italy

We are looking for a Project Manager to lead the development, construction, and commissioning of electrical and utilities infrastructure for a new data centre in Italy. This role will also support business development and strategic initiatives related to project development.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead energy & utilities projects from concept to delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, stakeholders, and utility providers for HV/MV infrastructure.
- Supervise the design and construction of substations and power lines, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
- Manage resources, budgets, schedules, and quality control processes.
- Track project progress, conduct regular meetings, and escalate issues as necessary.
- Negotiate contracts and bids with contractors, developers, and consultants.
- Support site due diligence activities and resolve factors impacting project handover.
- Review deliverables, raise queries,



and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare progress reports to support decision-making and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Industrial, Energy Engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced knowledge of HV/MV electrical systems and Italian electricity regulations; experience in other European markets is a plus.
- 3+ years’ experience working with DSOs, TSO, suppliers, or utilities.
- Proven experience in planning, design, permitting, and construction of HV/MV substations and underground power lines.
- Familiarity with power line concessions, interconnection agreements, and utility operating models in Italy.
- Experience with data centre clients is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proactive, autonomous, flexible, and commercially astute.
- Fluent in Italian and English.
