Mission
At Scalapay, every merchant journey starts with us. As Scalapay grows, Gabriele Alessi, our Head of Operations and Giulia Rinalidi, our Merchant onboarding & Support team lead, are looking for a KYC & Onboarding Specialist to join our Operations team and make sure that journey is smooth, compliant, and fast.
You will be on the front line: reviewing documents, running AML checks, and talking directly with merchants to get them live as quickly as possible.
This is a hands‐on operational role where a significant part of your day will involve repetitive tasks. We're looking for someone who doesn't mind that. If you're the kind of person who takes pride in doing things right, every single time, and always has an eye out for a smarter way to work, you'll fit right in.
What you'll do
Guide merchants through the onboarding process from start to finish
Review and validate KYC documents
Perform AML screenings and flag anomalies
Contact merchants via call and email to support and accelerate onboarding
Qualifications
Hold a degree in a paralegal field or have at least 1 year of KYC/AML experience in a regulated entity
Are fluent in Italian and English (French or Spanish a plus)
Are comfortable with repetitive, operational work and take pride in doing it well
Love finding simpler ways to get things done
Use AI tools in your daily workflow and are willing to find innovative solutions

Our packages are based on skills, qualification and experience - the salary band we have for this position is an overall total earning between 30'000€ and 35'000€.
