Our client is a specialist underwriting team that provides transactional insurance solutions, namely Warranty and indemnity (W&I;) and Tax Insurance. Their team is made up of former legal professionals from Private Practice, consultancies and straight from Law School.Role Overview:The Junior Underwriter will be responsible for evaluating risks and determining appropriate insurance coverage for clients. This position involves close collaboration with brokers and intermediaries to develop tailored insurance solutions. The ideal candidate will leverage their legal expertise to navigate complex insurance regulations and ensure compliance with both local and international standards.Key Responsibilities:Assess and underwrite insurance applications, ensuring all policies meet legal and regulatory requirements.Collaborate with brokers and intermediaries to craft customized insurance products.Conduct thorough risk assessments, making informed decisions on policy terms and pricing.Stay updated on industry trends,
particularly within the Swedish and broader international insurance markets.Contribute to the development of new insurance products to meet market needs.Maintain compliance with internal guidelines and external regulatory requirements.Qualifications:1-4 years of experience, ideally within Private Practice.A law degree is required, providing a strong foundation for understanding and interpreting complex insurance contracts.Fluency in Italian and English is essential for client interactions and documentation.Strong analytical skills and a detail-oriented approach to risk evaluation.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, results-driven environment.This role is an ideal transition in to a more commercial alternative to Private Practice that still requires and makes use of your legal background.
