Experteer OverviewIn this role you shape the RF payload and digital subsystem for SAR radar instruments. You collaborate with radar engineering teams to define architectures and support HW/SW design through performance analyses. You will trade off instrument architectures, define digital processing on-board, and ensure traceable requirements across subsystems. Your work connects system-level goals with hands-on design reviews, simulations, and test campaigns, contributing to safe and effective space missions.Retribuzione / BenefitsEvaluate radar input requirements and communicate findings to the radar engineering teamDefine radar instrument architectures and sub-systems (antenna, RF, digital)Specify digital on-board processing: waveform generation, echo processing, digital beamforming, data decimation and formattingDefine subsystem/units requirements and support functional decomposition for Digital, RF,



and SWParticipate in design reviews at multiple levels and ensure requirement traceabilitySupport RFW/D evaluation and radar payload budgets with system engineeringDevelop software tools (Matlab, Excel) to support simulations and analysesEvaluate test results and participate in test campaigns across instrument, assembly, equipment and unitParticipate in meetings with design teams, subcontractors, and customersPrepare documents and handouts for reviews and reportsResponsabilitàRF and digital electronics HW design backgroundExperience with antenna and RF design considered distinctiveMatlab proficiency; MS OfficeEnglish proficiency (intermediate) for communicationTeamwork attitudeMaster or PhD in related field
