Experteer Overview In this role you will drive the end-to-end knitwear product development process within Burberry's Product Development team. You will partner with design to translate creative vision into manufacturable, quality knitwear while safeguarding margins and timelines. You'll manage prototypes, supplier relationships, and risk across EU and Asia, coaching junior colleagues and ensuring production readiness. The role combines technical knitwear expertise with cross-functional collaboration to deliver commercially successful, fashion-forward pieces that align with Burberry's sustainable luxury ethos.
Retribuzione / Benefits Serve as the technical partner for design, attending fittings and assessing feasibility of knitwear concepts
Translate design into producible products while protecting target margins and quality
Provide deep expertise on construction, yarns, raw materials, and fit for knitwear across categories
Deliver prototypes and samples on time within cost targets
Manage the critical path from concept to pre-production with design and manufacturers

Identify and mitigate risks at all development stages
Maintain 100% accuracy in systems and ensure cross-functional updates are communicated
Build and maintain vendor relationships across EU and Asia, negotiating costs and aesthetic changes
Monitor raw material selections for cost targets and collaborate cross-functionally to improve quality and lead times
Ensure product functionality, consistency, and standardization; conduct ongoing risk assessment
Collaborate with Product Engineering to test against standards and protect design vision
Oversee raw material excess development and logistics to ensure timely proto/sample delivery
Support production meetings and prep for production with clear technical requirements
Coach and develop PD Assistants, delegating workload and sharing knowledge
Efficient time management across development stages to meet deadlines
