Within this mission, the LaJoie lab, as part of the Molecular Cell Research Centre, studies how proteins of the nuclear envelope function to promote human health. By doing so, we can understand how their dysregulation results in diseases such as muscular dystrophy and cardiomyopathy. With the combination of specialized resources and expertise at Human Technopole, we are uniquely able to address these questions and the molecular and cellular level.



Your mission The LaJoie Group seeks a Postdoc to identify novel protein–protein interactions using in situ crosslinking mass spectrometry, characterize disease‐relevant protein mutations biochemically, and perform protein perturbation experiments in cells to understand molecular pathways of diseases of the nuclear envelope. The position is suited for candidates from the fields of biochemistry, cell biology, and proteomics, who are interested in integrating diverse methodologies in a highly collaborative environment.
