About the RoleServices Specialist – Resource Management in the Field Service team of Baker Hughes IET. The role focuses on overseeing and optimizing the deployment and career development of Field Service Engineers (FSEs) worldwide. The position requires managing both internal and contingent resources, aligning workforce strategy with business demand, and driving continuous development of the FSE pool with a strong focus on performance, compliance, and customer satisfaction.ResponsibilitiesWorkforce Planning & Assignment Oversight – global planning and execution of internal and external FSE deployment.Define and execute resource strategies to optimize the mix of internal FSEs and external contractors.Ensure accurate demand forecasting and capacity planning in collaboration with Business Units and the Demand & Capacity team.Lead assignment of FSEs based on skills, availability, rest requirements,
and customer priorities.Guarantee compliance with Fit For Job procedures and Fatigue Management policies.Pool Management – manage a global pool of approximately fifteen FSEs, aligning assignments with project requirements and productivity goals.Maintain and update key performance indicators such as utilization, worked hours, fatigue policy, team certification, FFJ, HSE, and NPS.Evaluate ongoing assignments to ensure alignment with strategy, quality, and cost targets.Implement and oversee development career paths, training programs, and mentorship initiatives in partnership with the GTS Training Academy.Conduct regular performance reviews, career discussions, and skill gap analyses.Encourage multi‐skill development and support upskilling initiatives, including certification achievements.Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement through Lean initiatives, automation, tooling, and data‐driven decision‐making.Ensure effectiv
