Experteer Overview As a Senior Design Engineer at AGCO, you will develop components and assemblies for combines in the crop processing area, focusing on durability and producibility. You will work with an international team to optimize designs for production and align them with project goals. You will drive design reviews, documentation, and engineering changes while supporting validation and field activities. This role offers the opportunity to shape agricultural machinery and collaborate across functions to deliver reliable solutions.
Retribuzione / Benefits 3-D and 2-D design of parts, assemblies, and mechanisms using various materials and fabrication technologies
Create production-quality fabrication drawings, design documentation, and assembly drawings; manage engineering changes (ECR-ECN)
Participate in design reviews with cross‐functional teams (Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing, etc.)
Collaborate on project schedules and budgets to ensure timely delivery
Contribute to product validation and testing activities




Responsabilità Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering
6–8 years of mechanical engineering experience
Background in agricultural machinery and equipment
Proficient in 3-D and 2-D modeling (ProE preferred) and MS Office
Skilled in drawing layouts and GD&T;
Extensive experience with sheet metal, castings, fabricated steel structures, and mechanisms (welded and bolted assemblies)
Knowledge of material properties, DFx (Design for Manufacturing), failure/root cause analysis, inspection techniques, coatings, and fasteners
Ability to justify design decisions with calculations, analysis, and documentation
Understanding of crop flow mechanics, FEA, DEM, CFD tools, and linkages
Proficiency in designing/specifying sheaves, belts, and bearings
Strong, pragmatic problem‐solving with a collaborative attitude
Fluent in English; Italian as mother tongue
Willingness to participate in field tests and travel to Europe; occasional international travel to Eu
