Senior Project Controls Engineer (Cost Control & Scheduling) – Pharmaceutical CAPEX Project
We are supporting a global pharmaceutical manufacturer on the delivery of a major CAPEX expansion project at their manufacturing facility in Latina, Italy.
The project is currently progressing through execution and commissioning phases, with a second major expansion project expected to commence shortly. As a result, we are seeking an experienced Project Controls professional capable of supporting both Cost Control and Project Scheduling activities across the project lifecycle.
Location: Latina, Italy (minimum 3 days per week onsite)
Duration: Long-term programme (24+ months)
Start: ASAP / July 2026
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain integrated project schedules throughout construction, commissioning and handover phases
Manage project cost tracking, forecasting and reporting activities
Support project leadership with schedule analysis, progress reporting and risk identification
Coordinate with engineering,
construction and commissioning teams to ensure alignment of project controls deliverables
Produce regular project performance reports and KPI updates
Support cashflow forecasting and budget monitoring activities
Assist with project planning for future expansion phases
Requirements
8+ years of Project Controls experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or highly regulated manufacturing environments
Strong experience across both project scheduling and cost control functions
Advanced Primavera P6 experience
Experience supporting construction, commissioning and qualification activities
Strong understanding of project reporting, forecasting and earned value principles
Excellent stakeholder management skills
Italian language skills preferred
