You will be part of a social, high performing team that collaborates with peers to attract and qualify prospects evaluating the purchase of OpenText solutions. The successful incumbent will be comfortable cold calling, cold emailing, and engaging via social media and video. It is important to have a strong understanding of B2B lead generation and business development. This quota‑carrying role offers a strong introduction and foundation for a future role in Sales, pre‑sales, solution consultancy or leadership within a global software organization.Outbound prospectingSupport outbound activity including cold calling, emailing, and social outreach into target accountsWork alongside Account Executives to engage prospective customers and introduce OpenText solutionsInbound lead developmentFollow up and qualify inbound leads generated through campaigns and marketing activityBuild understanding of customer needs and pass qualified opportunities to Account ExecutivesOpportunity progressionSupport early‑stage opportunities in partnership with Account Executives and Solution ConsultantsMaintain engagement with prospects and help move opportunities through initial stagesProspecting activityBuild customer relationships through consistent outreach activity across phone, email and social channelsIdentify contacts and maintain accurate data using Salesforce and research toolsTrack and manage all lead generation activity within Salesforce and Outreach using approved tools and processesProvide regular updates on activity and pipeline contributionQualify leads using defined criteria and aligned prospecting processesWhat It Takes to ExcelAbility to achieve activity and performance targetsStrong communication skills with the ability to engage and build rapport with prospectsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPositive, proactive approach to prospecting and learningAbility to adapt in a fast‑paced environmentGood organisational and time management skillsGoal‑oriented mindset with attention to detailWillingness to learn and develop within a sales environmentExperience with CRM tools such as Salesforce is beneficial but not essentialLanguage requirement: The role supports clients/employees in North America and Europe and requires fluency in French & English.OpenText’s efforts to build an inclusive work environment go beyond simply complying with applicable laws.
