Private Client Lending Manager

Our Client is looking for a Private Client Lending Manager with experience of working in private client lending and a good understanding of the market; Fluent in Italian and French and Proficient in English. As the primary employee of the Italian Branch, the person in this role will be responsible for the provision of credit facilities, specifically Lombard loans, to existing and new clients of Wealth Management business. The role will also be responsible for oversight of the loan book, liaising with both the Italian and international teams. Key Responsibilities
- Credit Facilities (Lombard loans)
- Dealing with lending enquiries/questions from client advisers and clients;
- Discussing/explaining lending terms with/to clients and client advisers;
- Preparing loan facility term sheets for internal discussion and approval;
- Preparing credit papers and presenting at Credit Committees;
- Assisting with preparing loan facility documentation including facility agreements and security documentation;
- Monitoring and carrying out reviews of the credit facilities (e.g. covenants/undertakings). Operational
- Branch Regulatory & Tax Reporting in cooperation with any external service providers/outsourcers;
- Perform tasks related to Account Opening and Client and other reporting for theBranch;
- Monitor the performance of the Branch operational and IT service providers and outsourcers;
Experience and Qualifications: - Experience of working in private client lending and a good understanding of the market;
- Experience with regulatory requirements (especially Bank of Italy) applicable to the branch business;
- Strong analytical skills, able to assess credit situations to identify the key risks and measures to mitigate risks;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Well-developed interpersonal skills in order to communicate effectively with clients, client advisers, intermediaries, Credit Committee and colleagues across Europe;
- Attention to detail and ability to work accurately, to tight deadlines and with limited supervision;
- Strong organisational and time management skills; and
- Computer literate (MS Office).
