You’ll be in good company among our global community of experts leading the future of mainframe modernization. Experts who share knowledge openly and collaborate freely. /p pIn this role, you’ll design, build and maintain the high-volume business logic that runs on the mainframe. At the same time you’ll play a key role in refactoring legacy code to enable modern cloud and mobile applications to seamlessly interact with the mainframe’s core data. /p h3What you will do /h3 h3Maintain Performance /h3 ul liPrevent decay and find efficiencies: Monitor the architecture and identify opportunities to optimize code to maintain and enhance mainframe performance. /li /ul h3Debug and Test /h3 ul liFind and fix: Debug, troubleshoot, and analyze complex system interactions to keep mission-critical applications running. /li /ul h3Develop for the Future /h3 ul liBridge the gap: As an instrumental player in modernization,



you’ll extract business logic from legacy systems for migration or integration with cloud-based services. /li /ul h3Who You Are /h3 ul liExperience working as a software engineer on complex software projects. /li liExcellent coding skills and solid development experience (Java, Python, .Net etc.) with debugging and problem-solving skills. /li liSoftware development methodologies, with demonstrated experience developing scalable and robust software. /li liExperience with Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions for enterprise application modernization, including AI-assisted code transformation, legacy system analysis, intelligent automation, and integration of AI agents within cloud-native architectures and business processes. /li liExperienced in relational and NoSQL databases, data mapping, XML/JSON, REST-based web services. /li liKnowledge of architecture design - Microservices architecture, containers (Docker k8s), messaging queues. /li liDeep understanding of OOP and design patterns. /li /ul h3Preferred Skills And Experience /h3 ul liBachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. /li liCertification in one or more of the hyperscalers (Azure, AWS, and Google GCP) - otherwise, you can obtain certifications with Kyndryl. /li liExperience with DevOps tools and modern engineering practices. /li /ul h3Being You /h3 pThe “Kyn” in Kyndryl means kinship, which represents the strong bonds we have with each other, our customers and our communities.
