- RINA is currently recruiting for a **Industry Strategy Consulting Director** to join its office in **Genoa, Italy**within the Division. **Mission**
- Within RINA's **Industry Business Unit,**we are looking for for a **Strategy Consulting Director** who will be responsible for the strategic leadership of the project management function. This role oversees large-scale programs, ensures the achievement of business objectives, and aligns project delivery with the company’s long-term vision. The Director mentors senior managers and drives a culture of excellence and innovation in project management mission of a Business Development Director functioning as an individual contributor is to play a leadership role in driving sales, cultivating client relationships, and strategically contributing to the growth and success of the business. #LI-MT3**Key Accountabilities**
- **Strategic Leadership**:Define the strategic direction for the engineering project management function, ensuring alignment with corporate goals; Lead the development and implementation of project management frameworks, policies, and processes. Team Leadership & **Governance**: Oversee multiple project teams through senior managers, ensuring optimal performance and consistent delivery excellence; Promote a high-performance culture by coaching, mentoring, and developing senior project leaders. Large-Scale Program Management; Provide strategic oversight for large, complex programs and portfolios for external customers; Manage project risks and financials, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.




- **Operational Excellence**:Drive continuous improvement and standardization of project execution processes to optimize quality and efficiency; Implement tools and systems to monitor project performance, governance, and compliance with industry standards.
- **Customer and Stakeholder Management**:Act as an executive point of contact for major customers, fostering long-term relationships and trust; Represent the organization at key meetings, negotiations, and external forums;** Lead the preparation and submission of major contracts, tenders, and quotations, collaborating with relevant teams to ensure successful contract closure. Gather feedback and perform post-deal analyses to drive continuous improvement**: - **Resource Management & Budgeting**:Ensure effective resource planning and allocation across projects, balancing capacity and business priorities; Manage the departmental budget, identifying opportunities for cost optimization without compromising quality.
- **Performance Reporting & Metrics**:Oversee the creation of executive reports for leadership, summarizing progress, risks, and financial outcomes; Define key metrics for the function and ensure they are measured and met. **Education**
- Master’s Degree in Engineering General or Business Administration Finance Management- MBA/Post Graduate Degree**Qualifications**
- **To have significant (up to 10-12 years)



work experience in project and program management within engineering or technical environments will be strogly considered as a plus;**: - **To have at least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership role managing large teams and complex projects will be strogly considered as a plus;**
Strategic thinking with a proven track record of delivering large-scale programs.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, secure, and manage resources from national and European funding programs
- Strong track record in identifying opportunities and trends, with particular focus on public funding sources (national, regional, and European) to support capital-intensive projects (e.g. green transition and decarbonization investment plans) in sectors such as energy & utilities, chemicals, hard-to-abate industries, and infrastructure
- A well-established network and strong relationships with institutional and economic stakeholders in key markets, particularly in hard-to-abate sectors, energy, and manufacturing
- Excellent leadership, team-building, and coaching skills.
- Strong financial acumen and budget management experience.
- Advanced stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (Agile, Lean Six Sigma, Waterfall) **Competencies**
