ph3System Test Engineer – Construction Machine Control Solutions /h3pWork Location: Topcon Facility Centre in Concordia sulla Secchia – Modena, Italy. /ph3Job Summary /h3pWe are seeking a skilled System Test Engineer for the local testing facility. This person will be responsible for testing Topcon's full product line of Construction and Machine Control solutions. /ph3Job Duties /h3ulliDeveloping test plans that meet new product delivery schedules. /liliAuthor test procedures for new features and regression testing that ensure repeatable and thorough testing. /liliExecute Product Validation and Verification in an efficient and effective manner. /liliSupport engineering RD by evaluating machine performance to verify new hardware and firmware development releases. /liliUnderstanding customer requirements and making sure product meet those requirements. /liliTroubleshooting reported problems and providing technical support to sales and customer support. /liliImprove and expand lab and field-testing facilities and capabilities. /liliWork with and communicate with Topcon’s, product management, technical support, sales support, production, engineering, R D and other departments on issues affecting our ability to deliver field support to end users and dealers. /liliMay perform other duties as assigned. /li /ulh3Quality WHS Compliance /h3ulliComply with the requirements of the Topcon Employee Handbook and Topcon Global Code of Conduct.



/liliEmployees are responsible for reporting hazards to their supervisor / manager and / or health and safety representatives and for taking reasonable steps to protect the health and safety of any person who may be immediately affected or threatened by workplace activity. /liliEmployees maintain knowledge of equal opportunity principles including discrimination, harassment and bullying expectations. /li /ulh3Required Knowledge, Skills Abilities /h3ulliKnowledge of serial, ISO CAN, radio, and other machine to machine communication type. /liliUnderstanding of basics of GNSS and Machine Control theory is a plus. /liliExcellent troubleshooting skills. /liliComputer skills in basic Microsoft Office suite. /liliAbility to work with individuals from a variety of technical and cultural backgrounds. /liliAbility to prioritize and handle many tasks/activities at once. /liliAble to lift up to 50 lbs and move in, on, and around construction equipment. /liliPrior product test/development experience. /liliStrong analytical skills. /liliFluent in English. /li /ulh3Preferred Qualifications Experience /h3ulliConstruction/Surveying background or Technical or Trade Qualifications in Construction, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Computing or Hydraulics and/or equivalent experience. /liliTraining or Facilitation skills. /liliExperience supporting, maintaining,



testing and installing Topcon 3D machine control systems is desirable. /liliExperience operating a Dozer, Grader, Excavator Skid Steer Loader. /liliAbility to assess and determine engineering employees machine operation competency knowledge. /liliSound understanding of GPS technology. /liliComputing, welding, fabricating and hydraulics experience desirable. /liliSound understanding of Workplace Health and Safety, Environmental legislation and requirements. /liliExtensive site-based experience. /liliValid Driver's license. /li /ulh3Additional Information /h3ulliMost of the job will be performed in an outdoor environment in and around agricultural equipment.
