The Role
Ready to join the green energy revolution?
The FP&A; Analyst is part of the Finance team and reports to the Head of FP&A; for Italy, based in our Milan office. Joining the Italy team, the FP&A; Analyst will play a pivotal role in analysing and forecasting financial information to support Senior Management in critical decision-making across the Italian portfolio. The FP&A; Analyst will be responsible for monthly and year-end reporting, with a full scope on the consolidated view of the Managerial results, including Operating Assets, Projects under development and Service companies. They will review financial models to support forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning, and analyse financial data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for the Italy business.
The FP&A; Analyst will work closely with the Finance team to develop budgets and forecasts, support cash flow estimation for distributions to shareholders, and prepare and present financial reports to Senior Management and non-financial stakeholders, highlighting key metrics and trends. They will conduct variance analyses comparing actual results versus budgeted and forecasted figures, identify variances and provide recommendations for corrective actions, as well as create ad-hoc reports as required. Working from our Milan office, they will partner cross-functionally with other departments within the Sonnedix environment to ensure financial data is accurate, up to date and effectively used by the business, while leveraging the AI tools made available by the Company to reduce effort in manual and data-preparation activities and free up resources for higher-impact work.
Desirable skills:
- Background in Financial Planning & Analysis or controlling within a corporate environment
- Proven expertise in financial modelling,
forecasting and budgeting processes
- Hands-on experience preparing managerial reports and presenting financial insights to Senior Management
- Demonstrated proficiency in English, both spoken and written (additional languages a plus)
- Tech fluency, including familiarity with or interest in developing AI tools to streamline data preparation and reporting
