Carlo Ratti Associati (CRA) is an international architecture and design studio with offices in Turin and New York. Founded by MIT professor Carlo Ratti, CRA sits at the intersection of design, technology, and urban innovation, developing projects that range from buildings and public spaces to large-scale urban strategies. The Role

CRA – Carlo Ratti Associati is looking for a Parametric Architect with a strong passion for new technologies and a curiosity to explore how computational tools can transform the architecture of tomorrow.

In this role, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary and international design team, supported by experienced professionals. You will be involved in developing parametric workflows, implementing innovative solutions across all project phases.

Key Responsibilities

- Contribute to the definition of project concepts by integrating parametric and computational design methodologies.
- Develop and manage parametric/algorithmic models to ensure aesthetic, functional, and performance consistency.
- Collaborate with the design team to deliver creative and technically advanced solutions.
- Prototype and test design ideas using advanced modeling tools, custom scripts, and simulations.

Requirements

Education & Experience

- Degree in Architecture, Building Engineering, or relevant fields.
- 1–2 years of experience in architecture or design offices (preferably international).

Skills

- Strong conceptual, graphic, and design skills,



with a focus on computational workflows.
- Fluent in English (both written and spoken); proficiency in additional languages is a plus.

Software:

- AutoCAD, Rhino, Adobe Suite.

Nice to Have:

- Grasshopper or other parametric scripting environments.
- Coding skills (Python, C#, or other programming languages).
- Rendering abilities (V-Ray or similar tools).
