About the role We're looking for an experienced engineer to be the technical reference for complex industrial equipment and packaged systems across our EMEA projects.
You'll run detailed engineering activities and follow projects end to end — from concept and design through manufacturing support, FAT, installation and commissioning — working with cross-functional teams, customers and vendors across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and ensuring compliance with the applicable standards (CE marking, PED, ATEX and local codes).
Main Tasks and Responsibilities Project Engineering & Technical Execution Carry out the detailed engineering design of packaged equipment and industrial systems according to customer specifications, company standards, and engineering best practices, tailored to the destination country's requirements Prepare and/or review: P&IDs;, process flow diagrams, equipment sizing calculations, general arrangement drawings, Bills of Materials, O&M; manuals, and other technical documentation and engineering deliverables Ensure technical compliance between customer specifications, proposals, and final design solutions, including applicable EMEA and local certification requirements (e.g. CE, PED, ATEX) Support engineering activities from project kick-off through final delivery on assigned EMEA projects Cross-Functional Project Coordination Collaborate closely with Project Management, Process Engineering,
Electrical & Controls Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, QA/QC, and Field Services teams across EMEA locations Participate in project kick-off meetings to align technical scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables with customers and internal teams across different countries Take part in engineering design review meetings with internal stakeholders and external partners Coordinate technical interfaces with vendors, suppliers, and customers across EMEA markets, adapting communication to local business practices and time zones.
Manufacturing, FAT & Commissioning Support Support Manufacturing and Operations teams during fabrication and assembly phases Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) in compliance with customer requirements and company quality standards, including for customers based in different EMEA countries Manage engineering changes and manufacturing discrepancies through ECR/ECN/ECO processes.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards applicable in each country of operation.
Experience 5 years of experience as a Project Engineer or Mechanical Engineer within industrial or manufacturing environments Strong background in engineered systems, packaged equipment, or process-related industrial solutions Experience working in multidisciplinary, international and customer-driven project environments across different regulatory contexts Exposure to FAT, commissioning, and manufacturing support activities is highly valued Technical Competencies Strong knowledge of engineered piping systems, fluid dynamics, and rotating equipment Familiarity with pumps, blowers, tanks, valves,
and instrumentation systems Experience with industrial equipment and skid/package systems Solid understanding of engineering documentation and design review processes Proficiency with Microsoft Project and standard engineering software tools.
Core Competencies Strong technical decision-making and problem-solving capabilities Strong organizational and project coordination skills Hands-on and problem-solving mindset Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, multi-country environments Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (additional EMEA languages a plus) Collaborative approach with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders across different cultures High level of accountability and ownership Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline What we offer Contractual Framework: National Collective Labor agreement: Metalmeccanico Contract Type: Permanent Canteen For this position, the annual gross salary will be no less than € 47,000.
