In this role you drive the research, development, and selection of fabrics and trims across Rossignol's collections, aligning with design and merchandising goals.
You'll lead material innovation from concept to commercialization and collaborate across teams and suppliers to meet performance, aesthetics, and cost targets.
You'll support sustainable material initiatives and supplier strategy while managing calendars and risk.

Drive material selection and development aligned with design and merchandising briefs to balance performance, aesthetics and cost
Lead the material innovation pipeline from concept through to commercialization
Collaborate with design, product development, and merchandising to bring ideas into execution
Ensure materials meet end?use and performance requirements with cross?functional QA
Support product margin optimization through early?stage material selection and supplier negotiation
Identify, evaluate, and develop strategic supplier partnerships balancing innovation, quality, and cost
Leverage supplier base to support cost negotiations and drive efficiency
Coordinate with sourcing on geographic mill strategies to optimize duty impact and supply chain efficiency
Identify supply chain risks and support mitigation strategies
Conduct ongoing fabric research including benchmarking, trade fairs, and supplier engagement
Review seasonal mill collections to identify materials per product category
Lead seasonal material trend presentations to inform product direction
Own material development timeline aligning with seasonal calendars and milestones
Lead cross?functional materials meetings for clear decision?making
Support sustainable material initiatives ensuring compliance with certifications
Manage material data within PLM systems ensuring accuracy and visibility
Coordinate material testing results with QA
Develop and maintain material and trim testing standards and requirements
Responsabilità
Degree in Textile Engineering (or equivalent) with 5-8 years' experience in fabric/material development within apparel, sportswear or outdoor industry
Proven ability to develop fabrics and trims from concept through to commercialization
Strong knowledge of fabric construction, performance, testing standards and end?use requirements
