Primary function: /pp
System Engineer is responsible for design, development, and release of a specific powertrain sub-system (fluids or mechanical sub-system such as lubrication or valvetrain systems).
System Engineer ensures that system-level targets are clearly defined, successfully achieved, and validated during project development, selecting the most appropriate architecture and design to meet targets. /pp
System Engineer is also responsible for reporting project status, risks, and key technical decisions to management and relevant stakeholder, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout the development lifecycle. /ppbr/pp
Essential Responsibilities: /pulli
Target Deployment: Identify and collect system requirements to ensure alignment with product targets.
Monitor status of requirement definition and assess associated technical risks /lili
System Concept Selection: Analyze design alternatives and select the optimal architecture using structured decision-making tools, ensure robustness in selection process through targeted evaluation activities.
Prepare system schematics and boundary diagrams /lili
Risk Analysis: Perform technical risk assessments and prepare System FMEA, identifying potential failures and mitigations /lili
Detailed Design Change Analysis:
Deploy and communicate system requirements across all relevant interfaces (components, controls software, other systems, vehicle) ensuring robust requirement flow-down to all stakeholders.
Evaluate design and process changes of components, including assembly, installation, operational usage, and load/stress impacts, in comparison to a reference engine /lili
Validation Planning and Release: Support to definition and track system validation plans (virtual and physical) summarizing open points, risks, and progress for management reviews /lili
Problem Solving: Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for system-level issues /li /ulpbr/pp
Requirements: /pulli
Master's degree in Mechanical, Automotive Engineering or similar /lili
Deep knowledge of system functionality and interactions with boundary systems and components /lili
Ability in leading technical discussions, problem-solving sessions, and coordinate cross-functional teams /lili
Capability to manage complex workflows and ensure timely delivery of system deliverables /lili
Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders and report technical progress and risks to management /li /ulpbr/pp
Digital Skills: /pulliMS Office /lili
Polarion (preferred) /li /ulpbr/pp
Flexibility to ensure on-site presence in line with needs /ppbr/pp
Availability to Travel: /pp
