Responsibilities Provide high-level technical support to customers, field service engineers, and technicians to ensure equipment operates within specification.
Ensure equipment operates at customer sites.
Support escalations and on-site projects such as tool installation.
Answer technical questions.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems via phone, e?mail, or in person.
Lead escalation meetings, both internally and externally.
Manage technical reporting internally with the factory and externally with the customer.
Report customer issues, design concerns, reliability, or maintenance problems to the European and Japanese product engineering team.
Create local procedures, BKM, and provide technical training to field service engineers and start?up engineers.
Collaborate with other members of the Tokyo Electron Europe Product Support Group to share experience and enhance the global European technical support department.
Support activities in France when required and work closely with the French technical support team.
Provide additional support, business trips, or remote support for other customers across all European sites as occasionally required.
Travel around 20% of the time as needed for French team collaboration.
Qualifications Technical education and at least 5 years of experience in a similar technical support role for complex electromechanical equipment, including installation, maintenance, and repair/debugging (preferably in the semiconductor industry or an equivalent field).
Extensive knowledge in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem?solving skills using analysis tools such as 8?D, 5?Why, Ishikawa, Kepner?Tregoe, etc.
Ability to work under pressure.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Organizational skills and flexibility in working hours.
Strong focus on safety procedures, quality, and compliance to meet customer satisfaction.
Reflection of TEL values and ethics, respecting TEL safety, quality, compliance, and InfoSec initiatives at all times, and setting an example for other employees in TEE and TEL.
Basic IT literacy skills (MS Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Fluency in both Italian and English.
Compensation & Benefits Annual gross salary starting from €38,000 or €44,000 depending on experience and skills. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and other factors such as location. In addition to base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package and, for certain roles, eligibility in our premio plan and long?term incentives.
