## Product Manager – Filler MetalsApplylocations: Italytime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R*********Job Description:****Product Manager – Filler Metals** At **ESAB**, we are looking for a **Product Manager – Filler Metals** to join our commercial team and drive the development and execution of the Filler Metals strategy across the Med sub-region. In this role, you will be responsible for translating the European strategy into local market actions while supporting the commercial organization in achieving sales, margin, and growth objectives across distributor and direct sales channels. You will work closely with Area Sales Managers, distributors, Key Account Managers, and the wider sales organization, providing technical expertise, product guidance, and market intelligence to strengthen ESAB's competitive position. As the regional Filler Metals expert, you will play a key role in driving product adoption, supporting customer success, and identifying new growth opportunities in the market. The Product Manager – Filler Metals will also act as a bridge between the local commercial teams and European Product Management, ensuring customer feedback, market requirements, and competitive insights are effectively translated into business actions and future product development initiatives. **Key Responsibilities:** * Define and execute the local implementation of the European Filler Metals strategy* Maintain deep knowledge of the ESAB Filler Metals portfolio and its competitive advantages versus market alternatives* Support Field Sales Representatives, Industrial Welding Equipment & Solutions Sales Representatives,
and Key Account Managers with technical expertise and product recommendations* Deliver product and application training to internal commercial teams and distributor partners* Develop and support sales campaigns, promotions, and growth initiatives* Plan and execute new product launches and manage product phase-outs* Support customers with troubleshooting and resolution of product performance issues* Manage product portfolio changes and support customer transitions to updated products and solutions* Analyze sales performance, identify growth opportunities, and recommend actions to the sales management team* Monitor market trends, customer needs, competitor activities, and local pricing to ensure strong market positioning* Support Area Sales Managers in maintaining standard pricing aligned with European recommendations* Collect and communicate market feedback, technical challenges, and customer requirements to European Product Management **Your Profile:****Required:** * Technical or Engineering degree (secondary education level minimum)* Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience* Strong knowledge of welding processes and filler metals* Experience in a commercial, sales support,
or product management environment* Experience working in cross-functional teams* Local language proficiency (C1)* English proficiency (minimum B2)* Valid driver's license* Willingness to travel 2–3 days per week within the region **Desired:*** University degree in Engineering or a related technical field* Welding Technician or Welding Engineer certification* Experience working in a multinational organization* English proficiency at C1 level* Experience supporting distributor networks and industrial customers**What Success Looks Like:*** Achievement of Filler Metals sales revenue and margin targets* Achievement of New Product Introduction (NPI) revenue targets* Successful delivery of product and technical training programs* Effective resolution of customer product-related issues* Increased market competitiveness and portfolio growth across the Med sub-region **About ESAB ** Founded in **** with the invention of the world's first welding electrode, ESAB has been shaping the history of welding and fabrication for over a century.
