Data Engineer - QuantumBlack, AI by McKinsey In this role you will build foundational data infrastructure powering cutting-edge AI applications. You'll design scalable data pipelines, manage secure data environments, and prepare data for AI-driven systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams and clients. You'll contribute to R&D; efforts to scale next?generation AI capabilities and work within a global data engineering community. Design and maintain scalable data pipelines for AI systems
Manage secure data environments and data quality for ML workflows
Collaborate with Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and clients to deliver AI solutions
Prepare and transform data, translating hypotheses into engineered features

Contribute to R&D; initiatives focused on scalable AI capabilities
Build robust data foundations for production-ready AI systems
Assess data landscapes and apply data governance
Support cross?functional teams in Agile environments
Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent experience
Experience in a data?focused role (internships, academic projects)
Proficiency in Python and SQL with ability to write clean, well?documented code
Familiarity with data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, PSQL) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Engineeering tools (Pandas, Spark, dbt, LangChain)
Exposure to DevOps, MLOps/LLMOps, CI/CD concepts
Strong time management in autonomous work environments
Willingness to learn quickly and adapt to different projects and tech stacks
Experience using coding agents (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex) is a plus
Strong communication skills in English and French
