Position Mission
We are looking for an Flight Dynamics Operations Engineer for our partner company based in Rome . The person will join our future Operation Engineering teams within an important Earth Observation satellite mission contract.
Responsibilities
Conduct orbit determination, maneuver planning, and analyze orbital events such as conjunctions.
Computation and monitoring of the satellite orbit
Definition of FDS workflows
Development and validation of FDS operational procedures (manual and python-based pipelines)
Preparation and participation in System Operations Validation Test Campaigns
Preparation of LEOP and Commissioning operations
On-console activities during LEOP and on-call support
Routine and emergency flight dynamics operations
Propose improvements to the in-orbit control strategies and support GS Engineering Team for specification and development of flight dynamics facility for future missions
Technical Skills, Qualifications and Professional Experience
University degree in a relevant engineering field, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics or Physics.
Relevant working experience in operational mission, orbit determination and control.
Expertise in orbit and attitude dynamics of satellites.
Experience in SSA activities and CAM management.
Ability to communicate clearly under both nominal and time-critical conditions.
At least 3 years of operational experience in FDS operations for LEO satellites
Ability to work independently
Fluency in English, both in speech and writing
Expertise in python scripting
Experience with unix/linux OS based systems
Ability to coordinate activities internal and external to the team
Well‐organised, able to prioritise and manage several activities in parallel
Location: Roma or Mola di Bari

The gross annual remuneration for this role is between EUR 28 000 and EUR 35 000.
Positioning within the range will be defined based on technical skills, specific experience in the role, and the outcomes of the selection process, according to objective and predefined criteria.
In the presence of profiles with exceptional characteristics compared to the indicated range, a review may be evaluated with internal approval.
