Valentino is looking for an Intern who will be included in the
Business Intelligence
Department, based in
Milano
, and will support the team in the following activities:
Responsibilities
Periodic reporting to Top Management, HQ functions (e.g. Commercial, Brand, Merchandising) and Regions through standardized cycles (e.g. sell-out, sell-through, CRM, profitability, Core program, best sellers, e-commerce), leveraging BI tools and ensuring data consistency and reliability
On-demand analyses for Top Management, providing deep dives on categories, markets and collections based on defined criteria, delivering clear and actionable insights
Weekly performance reporting, including preparation and presentation of the Reporting Memo, proactively highlighting trends, risks and opportunities, and providing timely and proactive alerts on key performance changes
Support to Top Management in preparing strategic materials (e.g. Trading Meetings, Shareholder presentations, year-end reviews, institutional presentations, press releases), ensuring accuracy and consistency
Continuous Master Data management, including control and update of store information (e.g. openings/closures, trading hours, LFL status) and operational activities (e.g. markdown calendar, system upload files such as TGT)
Wholesale campaign reporting, including data collection,
consolidation and analysis of bookings by category and campaign
Development and evolution of BI tools and dashboards (primarily Qlik Sense), enhancing existing solutions and contributing to the design and development of new reporting initiatives with IT and business stakeholders
Automation and streamlining of BI processes to improve efficiency, reduce manual workload and ensure consistency
Collaboration with IT and stakeholders to align business needs with technical solutions
Ownership of Qlik Sense user enablement (onboarding, training and ongoing support) to drive adoption and effective usage
Contribution to knowledge sharing and best practices in data analysis across teams
Cross-functional and cross-regional collaboration to analyse business performance drivers, support local teams in identifying micro-trends and ensure consistency of analytical approaches
Monitoring of competitive landscape, including quarterly benchmarking versus listed competitors, integrating regional and internal inputs
On-demand data extraction and preparation for internal stakeholders (e.g. Legal, HR, Regions), ensuring accuracy and usability
Requirements
Graduate and Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Management Engineering, with a strong academic performance
Excellent time management, organizational and problem solving skills
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in a responsible way
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Team oriented with a pro-active and determined attitude
Open-minded, curious, methodical and endowed with a sound analytical approach
Strong IT skills: MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint); SAP and QlikSense will be a plus
Fluent in English
