We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to contribute to the design and development of cutting?edge machinery used in the production of power and telecommunications cables within our Investment & Engineering team, part of Operations.
Responsibilities
Define electrical specifications for machinery and equipment used in cable manufacturing processes.
Design and develop solutions involving electrical systems, automation, power electronics, drives, and control systems.
Evaluate and select suppliers for electrical panels and automation solutions.
Support the installation, commissioning, and start?up of equipment in Prysmian plants worldwide.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical excellence, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Drive continuous improvement by identifying innovative and robust engineering solutions.
Qualifications
Degree in Electrical Engineering – Power Electronics.
At least five to seven years of professional experience in a technical role (technology or manufacturing), preferably in the industrial sector.
Training will be provided if necessary.
Experience in process automation in any industry, with a focus on the final product of the system.
Good English proficiency (reading, writing, speaking).
Strong communication, negotiation and team?working skills.
Ability to understand the context of the work environment and manage inter?departmental and multicultural relations.
Problem?solving skills: ability to identify potential problems, propose solutions and involve colleagues.
Availability to travel.

Gross annual salary: €45,000 (minimum)
