Network System Engineer

TXT e-Tech , a TXT Group company, is seeking a Network System Engineer with at least six years of experience in troubleshooting network and security issues, and in product development—from requirements definition through field testing—using state-of-the-art methodologies and tools.

Main Responsibilities

- Design, setup, and operation of testbeds dedicated to verifying networking functionality, with particular focus on PTP (Precision Time Protocol)-based synchronization mechanisms, network link redundancy architectures, and Layer 2 and Layer 3 communication functionality.
- Setting up the test environment, executing test campaigns, and analyzing the results obtained.
- Supporting requirements engineering by defining system and subsystem requirements related to the networking architecture, ensuring the proper allocation and flow-down to the subsystems involved.
- Integration of cybersecurity requirements, ensuring consistency among the functional, performance, and security aspects of the architecture.
- Definition and validation of the configuration of network subsystems, including devices such as routers and firewalls, as well as hosts running Linux operating systems.
- These activities are carried out both by working directly on live systems and through simulation environments, in order to verify the correct behavior of the infrastructure under various operating conditions.
- Conducting impact analyses (assessments) aimed at achieving Common Criteria certification,



including an evaluation of the effects of architectural and implementation choices on security requirements, documentation, and the certification process.

- VLAN
- NTP
- Firewall (including iptables)
- Routing protocols
- Network redundancy protocols
- CLI
- Bash scripting
- Linux networking
- Virtualization

- Documentation standards (e.g., MIL-STD-498)
- Doors NG

Education

Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Information Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Telecommunications Engineering.
