Overview
You will manage sourcing and supplier activities for electrical and electronic components, aligning with global purchasing strategies to meet cost, quality, delivery and innovation targets. You’ll interface with engineering, quality and suppliers to drive strategic sourcing and operational execution for the E/E commodity. You’ll lead cost optimization, supplier performance, and readiness for new product introductions in electrified automotive systems. This role offers scope to shape sourcing strategy across regions and programs and to support cross‑functional teams in a fast‑evolving automotive landscape.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute sourcing strategy for Electrical Commodity across regions and programs
- Manage RFQ/RFI processes for electrical/electronic components ensuring competitive sourcing
- Identify cost reduction opportunities and drive YoY savings in E/E
- Perform cost analysis and Total Cost of Ownership evaluations
- Lead sourcing and supplier selection with engineering, quality and supply chain teams
- Negotiate supplier contracts focusing on cost, quality, delivery, payment terms and risk mitigation
- Manage supplier relationships and performance in the electrical commodity
- Monitor and improve supplier KPIs (quality, delivery, cost, responsiveness)
- Support new product development programs and ensure sourcing readiness for launch (PPAP, timelines, capacity)
- Coordinate cross‑functional activities to align technical and commercial requirements
- Support engineering in technical discussions with suppliers for complex components
- Ensure supply chain continuity and mitigate risks related to global constraints
- Support VA/VE and design‑to‑cost initiatives
- Track savings, cost reductions and supplier improvements with accurate reporting
- Drive process improvements and lean supply chain initiatives
Qualifications
- University Bachelor Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or related field
- 3–5+ years in purchasing, sourcing or supply chain in automotive or industrial sectors
- Experience with electrical/electronic components or electrified systems preferred
- Experience in supplier management and cross‑functional collaboration
- Exposure to new product development and industrialization processes
