Senior Systems Administrator in Naples, Italy, responsible for operating and maintaining the Naval Enterprise Network (NEN) OCONUS infrastructure under the SMIT program. You will work within the Network Operations Center to monitor, triage, and resolve incidents, support data center and pass-down activities, and collaborate with cyber and DevSecOps teams to safeguard enterprise information flow. This is a mission-driven role with impact on Navy network unity, security, and service quality.

- Collaborate with Cyber Security analysts to ensure secure information flow
- Ensure smooth operation of network systems, architecture, and topology
- Monitor operating systems for proper function and policy compliance
- Receive, analyze, and document network alerts and incidents from detection to resolution
- Maintain incident tracking and reporting; document shift activities and pass down issues
- Develop and implement standards, procedures,



and processes for the NOC
- Participate in strategic network and operations planning
- Support DevSecOps initiatives for new technologies
- Provide root cause analysis and contribute to forensics and mitigation
- Assist end users with technical issues
- Collect intrusion artifacts to aid defense-in-depth measures

Responsabilità

- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field with 2–4 years of related IT experience, or Master’s Degree with <2 years of related experience
- US Citizen and DoD Secret Clearance
- Information Assurance Technician (IAT) II certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+)
- Current Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Hands‑on experience with DoD networks (NIPR/SIPR)
- Experience planning network enhancements and upgrades
- Ability to advise users on hardware requirements and configurations
