Overview
As a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer, you will own end‑to‑end delivery of agentic AI solutions for Salesforce’s key enterprise customers. You’ll lead technical delivery, mentor peers, and set engineering standards to scale agentic AI deployments. You partner with Deployment Strategists to translate customer needs into shippable AI solutions while staying at the forefront of AI tools and frameworks. This role blends architecture, data, and software craft to drive measurable business outcomes in enterprise environments.
Responsibilities
- Own end‑to‑end build and deployment of agentic AI solutions for strategic customers, from architecture decisions to production handoff.
- Design and ship agentic systems on the Agentforce platform: agent logic, tool calls, multi‑agent orchestration, guardrails, and enterprise‑ready integration patterns.
- Manage data lifecycle: model design, data pipelines, and data readiness across Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer platforms.
- Resolve blockers in data integration, model deployment, orchestration, and performance.
- Build and maintain agent performance dashboards and KPI reporting across engagements.
- Develop proofs‑of‑concept and MVPs with sound judgment on what to implement now versus later.
- Codify learnings into reusable playbooks and assets for the org.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews and paired sessions.
- Provide technical depth on critical deployments and surface field insights to Product and Engineering.
- Collaborate with Deployment Strategist to translate complex business challenges into actionable agentic solutions.
- Travel to customer sites as needed to ensure success.
- Contribute to roadmap with field insights that influence product and engineering decisions.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of software engineering or technical delivery experience with end‑to‑end ownership of scalable production systems in enterprise AI, cloud, or SaaS.
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience integrating LLMs into production and using frameworks like LangChain or LlamaIndex.
- Proficient in data modeling, processing, and analytics with experience on platforms such as Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, or Databricks.
- Deep Salesforce platform expertise: Agentforce, Apex, LWC, Flows, and Salesforce APIs.
- Entrepreneurial, results‑oriented mindset with good judgment on fast versus right decisions.
- Mentored technical talent and created reusable assets or playbooks.
- Clear, credible communication with engineers, customer architects, and executives.
- Curiosity about evolving AI/data landscape and willingness to pilot new tools and models.
- Ability to travel to customer sites as needed.
- Business proficiency in Italian and English.
