Lead with Excellence – Delivery Lead
As a Delivery Lead at Avanade, you will oversee projects in the Industrial, Consumer Goods & Services, Retail, and Life Sciences sectors, ensuring they are executed on time, within budget, and aligned with the strategic objectives of the organization.
Responsibilities
Client Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong, long‑lasting relationships. Understand client needs and requirements, communicate them effectively to the delivery team, update clients regularly on project progress, manage expectations, and address any issues or concerns promptly.
Project Delivery
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring completion on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards. Develop detailed project plans, allocate resources, manage the delivery schedule, and monitor performance using appropriate tools and techniques, reporting on progress and necessary adjustments.
Team Leadership
Oversee a team of project managers, coordinators, and other delivery staff. Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback, fostering a collaborative and high‑performance culture. Manage multiple projects and work under pressure while exercising strong management skills and strategic thinking.
Process Improvement
Identify opportunities for improving delivery processes and implement best practices. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance client satisfaction and operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures,
and standards.
Risk Management
Identify potential risks to project success, develop mitigation strategies, monitor and manage risks and issues, and elevate them as necessary.
Industry Knowledge
Understand the competitive landscape and emerging technologies that impact the sector. Anticipate client needs and identify new business opportunities.
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5‑7 years of experience in project management, delivery management, or a related role within the product industry.
- Proven experience managing system integration projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business administration, or a related field; a master’s degree or PMP certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Trello).
