Sontheim Industrie Elektronik GmbH based in Rovereto is looking for 1 Software Engineer, Windows.
Sontheim Industrie Elektronik, founded in 1996 in Kempten (Germany), is a world market leader in interface technology for agricultural and industrial machinery, trusted by major global OEMs for automation, diagnostics, and connectivity. In 2021, the company opened its Italian branch in Rovereto: a lean, dynamic, and rapidly growing team that offers a unique opportunity to directly impact and shape the brand's growth in Italy.
The role sits right at the intersection of hands-on software development and technical relationship management with Italian customers. You won't just write code; you will be the main point of contact to listen to customer needs and translate them into concrete solutions in synergy with the technical teams in Germany. Specifically, your tasks will include:
Developing and maintaining Windows applications in C# (the core skill of the role);
Contributing to Linux-side development in C++ and implementing user interfaces using XAML;
Regular use of AI-assisted coding tools as a normal part of your software development workflow;
Managing technical conversations and visiting prospects and customers directly within the Italian market;
Traveling for business roughly once a month,



either to clients or to the company's headquarters in Germany.
Requirements Professional experience: At least 2 years of relevant software development experience (prior experience in this specific industry is not required);
Technical skills: Strong, hands‑on C# development for Windows;
Preferred skills: Practical familiarity with C++ on Linux and XAML is a real plus;
Language skills: Fluent Italian and fluent English are both required to bridge communication between local customers and the German teams (knowledge of German is not required);
Interpersonal skills: Strong social skills and the ability to build trust with Italian customers and stakeholders.
What's on offer Compensation: Starting gross annual salary (RAL) in the range of 38,000 to 44,000 euros, with clear, objective‑based steps for growth;

Training: An initial 3 weeks of training and onboarding at the German headquarters to get properly up to speed;
Flexibility: A hybrid work setup with 1 to 2 days of remote work per week once settled in;
